Product Description

Working Principle

Compressed air (A) enters the air knife and exits through an ultra-fine 0.05 mm slot (C), forming a high-velocity sheet of air. Leveraging the Coanda effect and the air knife's optimized aerodynamic design, the airflow entrains 30–40 times more surrounding air (B & D), creating a thin yet powerful air curtain with high volume and uniform force distribution. This advanced air amplification technology delivers efficient drying, cleaning, cooling, and blow-off performance while reducing compressed air consumption.

  

The spread of the  air curtain

At the zero point (0 position) of the air knife outlet, no surrounding air has been entrained yet, so the air curtain reaches its maximum intensity but with the lowest airflow volume. As the distance increases, the air curtain strength gradually decreases, while the air volume continues to increase due to air entrainment.

In most applications, the recommended distance between the air knife outlet and the product surface is approximately 10–50 mm to achieve optimal blowing performance.

Advantages of GBD Air Knives Cleaner

GBD air knives feature a "full airflow" design, meaning the width of the air knife is exactly the same as the width of the generated air curtain. The back of the air knife is equipped with mounting and connection ports, allowing multiple units to be combined into any required length with seamless connections.

For applications that require frequent changes in air curtain width, multiple air knives can be installed in a modular configuration. Users can activate one or more air knives according to actual requirements, achieving maximum energy savings and optimized air consumption.

All GBD air knives use stainless steel internal shims (while many similar products on the market use plastic shims, which are prone to cracking and failure). In addition, there are no moving parts or wear components inside the air knife, ensuring a long service life of more than 10 years.

GBD air knives operate with extremely low noise levels, fully complying with international OSHA workplace noise standards, and are designed for quick and easy installation.

Compared with traditional drilled pipe systems, GBD air knives consume only one-fifth of the compressed air, significantly reducing operating costs.
